Carpooling Apps Improve Ride Sharing
Scoop and Waze Carpool apps are now available in Redmond to help your employees get to work with flexible, fast carpooling services.
These new services from Waze Carpool and Scoop are a great option for commuters because they have room for flexibility within people's schedules and are optimized to give users a faster commute.
As an employer, Go Redmond can help you support your employee's adoption of these new techologies.
We're happy to walk you through your options, provide grant funding for the launch, and put you in contact with the right people at either (or both!) of these companies.

How Carpooling Apps Work
- Users request or offer a ride
- Able to set different times for different days - as frequently or infrequently as you need
- Offer to drive or ride depending on your schedule
- Meet your carpool at the designated time and location
- Carpoolers are a community of colleagues and neighbors
- You'll ride together to your destination
- Can choose your home, central meeting place, or other locations (like the gym, school, or daycare) for potential pick up and drop off places
- Pay (or receive payment) through the app
- Estimate of the cost is available before booking the ride
- Amount is not enough to become a source of income for the driver
- Rate the driver or rider
