Safety partitions have been added to buses in Redmond

Hey Redmond transit riders,

Metro is gearing up to resume fare collection on Thursday October 1 with safety features such as safety partitions and mask dispensers on board some of their busiest routes.

Bus riders are encouraged to use ORCA or Transit GO Tickets to minimize contact between drivers and passengers, but Metro will continue to accept cash paper tickets. Paper transfers will also be available. Fare enforcement on the B Line will remain suspended through the end of the year.

Everyone who may be eligible for a reduced fare is encouraged to sign up for that program. For a limited time, anyone enrolling in ORCA LIFT will get a $10 bonus on their card, with funding made possible by Sound Transit. To learn more and for help enrolling, visit www.kingcounty.gov/metro/fares.

If you are a new bus rider, you can apply for a $25 ORCA card through Go Redmond here.
