Half of the spaces in two of the most popular Redmond Park and Ride Lots will get reserved for permit holders, the remaining spaces will be free of charge and available on a first come, first served basis.

Park-and-Ride Parking Permits for carpoolers and solo drivers at King County Metro’s 10 busiest lots and garages – including Redmond Park-and-Ride and Bear Creek Park-and-Ride – will be available starting in December 2019.

In response to increased demand, the permit parking program will provide greater parking reliability by offering reserved parking spots until 10 AM on weekdays.

Paid permits at some of Metro's busiest lots provide an option for drivers needing flexible schedules, while encouraging carpooling through offering free carpool permits. Solo drivers without a permit will still be able to park on a first come, first served basis.

Each of thee parking facilities that will offer permits currently experiences greater than 90% occupancy.  With the permitting program, no more than 50% of stalls will be reserved for permit holders at any given time.

Permits for solo drivers will be $90/month.  Transit riders who are eligible for ORCA LIFT can get permits for $20/month, and registered carpools are free.
