Starting March 10th, six Redmond transit routes will be altered for the March service change.

From King County Metro:

Metro continues making investments that were funded as part of the adopted 2017-2018 budget, which includes the addition of more than 300,000 annual service hours to improve service throughout King County.

Metro will be adding trips and adjusting schedules to improve service reliability and on-time performance on 18 Metro routes. Metro will be adding peak period trips to 20 routes to relieve overcrowding and provide more options for commuters.

Redmond Routes Impacted By Service Change:

Sound Transit 545

Due to the opening of Redmond Way to two-way traffic in downtown Redmond, ST Route 545 to the Bear Creek Park & Ride will be revised to operate eastbound on Redmond Way between 164th Ave NE and Avondale Way NE. ST Route 545 will no longer operate on Cleveland St.

ST Route 545 to downtown Seattle is unaffected by this change and will continue to operate westbound on Redmond Way as usual.

On Saturday only, westbound ST Route 545 trips to downtown Seattle that operate while Route 269 is in service (approximately every 30 minutes from 8:30 am and 7 pm) will be revised to leave the Bear Creek P&R one minute later in order to improve connections with Route 269. Eastbound trips are unaffected by this change.

Northbound Sound Transit routes 522 and 545 will be revised to operate via S Royal Brougham Way between 6th Ave S and 4th Ave S, and on 4th Ave S between S Royal Brougham Way and Seattle Blvd S. These two routes will no longer operate on 6th Ave S north of S Royal Brougham Way and on Seattle Blvd S between 6th Ave S and 4th Ave S.

Route 224, 232, 248

Due to the opening of Redmond Way to two-way traffic in downtown Redmond, routes 224 and 232 to Duvall, and 248 to Avondale will be revised to operate eastbound on Redmond Way between 164th Ave NE and Avondale Way NE. Routes 224, 232 and 248 will no longer operate on Cleveland St.

Routes 224 to Redmond, 232 to Bellevue and the Bellevue TC and 248 to the Kirkland TC are unaffected by this change and will continue to operate westbound on Redmond Way as usual.

Route 269

Route 269 will operate a new Saturday schedule between the Bear Creek Park & Ride and the Issaquah Highlands Park & Ride. Route 269 will operate every 30 minutes between about 8:30 am and 7 pm.

DART 930

Four new trips to Redmond Town Center leaving the Kingsgate Park & Ride at 9 and 9:30 am, and 2:18 and 2:48 pm will be added. Also, six new trips to the Kingsgate Park & Ride leaving Redmond Town Center at 8:33, 9:03 and 9:33 am, and 2:21, 2:51 and 3:21 pm will be added.

With the addition of these trips, service frequency will improve to every 30 minutes and the span of service will be extended between the morning and afternoon peak periods.

You need to make your trip request at least two hours in advance of your pick-up time. Reservations can be made for 30 days at a time, up to

30 days in advance. Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
