Whether you bike to work or school; to save money or time; to preserve your health or the environment; or simply to explore your community, National Bike Month is an opportunity to celebrate the many reasons we ride.

Get your team together-or if you're a new rider start asking around the office to see who will be biking to work this month!

Bike Month Events:

May 1-31st

May 4th

  • Bike To School Day: Redmond SchoolPool will be encouraging students and their families to get to school by bike and offering give-a-ways to participating schools.

May 20th

  • National Bike to Work Day: Pedal into the office and you'll probably see a number of bike stations fueling your commute.  Be sure and stop by the Bike Bash on the way home.

    • The Greater Redmond TMA along with Performance Bicycle and Trader Joes will be hosting a support station from 6 – 9:00 a.m. Sammamish River Trail between NE 124th Street and NE 116th Street (Near Sixty Acres Park concession stand/restrooms)

  • 5th Annual Redmond Bike Bash: The best way to celebrate Bike Month is at the Bike Bash with all your fellow cyclists!  Happening along the Redmond Central Connector Trail in downtown Redmond, the party includes:

    • the Redmond Bar & Grill's Beer Garden,

    • food trucks,

    • local bike shops Edge & Spoke and Element Cycles,

    • Go Redmond shirts,

    • Redmond Police Department $10 helmets and more!

Check back in with the Go Redmond blog and Facebook to make this the best Bike Month yet!

See you out there!
