The fun of Bike Everywhere Month doesn't have to end! To keep up the momentum (and health benifits) of a bike commute sign up now for Tour de Redmond! The Eastside’s most popular commute challenge, Tour de Redmond Summer Bicycle Commute Challenge runs June 1st – July 31st

The Tour is an annual summer event ran by GRTMA that aims to encourage cyclists of all stripes to have fun, reduce traffic, and to get healthy during the height of Washington’s beautiful riding season. There is no cost to participate, and just one recorded ride qualifies participants for a free shirt, entries into prize drawings and a ticket to the award ceremony party on August 8th!

Last year, 830 participants from over 30 Redmond companies logged almost 240,000 miles of riding, eliminated over 200 thousand pounds of CO2 emissions, and burnt almost 12,000,000 calories, while also earning a shot at $3,000 worth of prizes and special offers at local businesses.

Learn More About the Tour

Riders have an opportunity to match themselves against some of the most hardcore cyclists in the heart of Washington’s bike country – last year’s challenge winner rode 2,428 miles and was entered into a drawing for prizes which included two electric bikes, museum passes, and gift certificates to local restaurants. (Each commute trip can also be logged in your Go Redmond Calendar, so even more chances to win rewards and prizes!)

Riders can sign up individually or join forces with coworkers and friends to form teams. We know everyone's commute is different, so we encourage combining modes when necessary (check out this helpful video to put your bike on a bus).
