Scoop and Waze Carpooling are two of the latest technologies helping Redmond commuters find a flexible way to get to work.

We know, we know. You WOULD carpool but on Tuesdays you have day care pick up duty and Fridays you leave work early.  Now there's an app for that.

Scoop and Waze Carpooling are two carpooling apps now available to people commuting to Redmond that can give you options on how, when, where and who you carpool with.

The Basics of How Carpooling Apps Work

  1. Request or offer a ride
    • Set different times for different days
    • Offer to drive or ride depending on your schedule
  2. Meet your carpool at the designated time and location
    • Carpoolers are a community of colleagues and neighbors
    • You'll ride together to your destination
  3. Pay (or receive payment) through the app
    • Use the free ride codes from Go Redmond
      • Scoop: Redmond01
      • Waze Carpooling: GoRedmond
  4. Rate the driver or rider

Comparing the Apps

While the apps function in similar ways, there are differences between the two.  See the comparison below and decide if one works better for you, or try them both to see which is the best fit!
